Upcoming Shows

Her Debut Album is Out Now

Abena Koomson-Davis announces her debut jazz album Where is Love to be released on February 16, 2024 on WJ3 Records.

The album features beloved treasures of the American songbook such as “Paper Moon” and “Softly as in a Morning Sunrise.” It also includes originals written by her husband and collaborator, jazz trombonist Steve Davis (“Easy,” “Perseverance”) to which she has put lyrics.

Supported by a swinging rhythm section, this unique pairing of voice and trombone not only highlights the similarities between the two, it combines the elements of interpretation and improvisation to bring about a dialogue that is energetic, sincere, and filled with joy.

Projects

From the stage to the page, Abena's diverse projects showcase an artist in full control of her talents.
